Huw Mainwaring began his career with a brief stint as a chef at Raymond Blancs’ Le Manoir Aux Quat Sasion. He then sold speciality ingredients to chefs all over London before setting up Delectables Fine Foods, which included fine food markets, wholesale and a brand of preserves.
He is a food product development and innovation specialist working for international retailers Marks & Spencer and Tescos and is one of Rick Steins Food Heroes Of Great Britain.
He lives in Newport Beach, California with wife Louise, son Maxen and daughter Zara.
HOW I BECAME A STAY AT HOME DAD
When Maxen was 6 months old he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his eyes. Astonishingly! to make matter worse, Lou and I decided that I should quit my job and look after him until he got better.
